Hole 1 Overview:
One of toughest pars on the course (par 5 for the ladies). Rated 2nd most difficult opening hole in the UK by Golfshake.com. A slight dogleg left with sloping fairway right to left. The ideal tee shot should be shaped from right to left leaving a long to mid iron into a well-protected green. Approach shots dropping short of the green will usually kick left where trouble awaits. A par on this hole will feel like a birdie. Green runs right to left generally. Tip: when walking to the 2nd Tee, look at the 4th green for flag position.
