The full 18-hole course at Allerton Manor opened for play on 3rd April, and the early response from members and visitors has been fantastic. It’s a milestone that reflects a significant amount of work behind the scenes and a clear focus on improving the golfing experience for everyone who plays here.
The course has been carefully developed to create a round that feels enjoyable, varied, and rewarding, while staying true to the character of Allerton Manor.
The completed layout introduces three and a half new holes, including the transformation of a former short par 3 into a long par 5. This change adds greater variety to the round and brings a different challenge into play.
Alongside the new holes, updates to the 8th and 10th have improved how the course plays as a whole, helping the round flow more naturally while offering a fresh challenge for regular players.
All of this fits into a wider plan to make the most of the landscape and create a well-balanced round of golf.
The new holes and course improvements have been designed by acclaimed architect Andrew Craven of IDG, whose work focuses on creating courses that are enjoyable to play and well-suited to their surroundings.
The design works with the natural landscape at Allerton Manor, helping the course feel well-balanced throughout. The new and updated holes sit comfortably within the existing layout, improving the flow of the round and adding variety while maintaining the character of the course.
Across all 18 holes, the focus has been on playability. A mix of hole lengths and layouts keeps the round engaging, offering a challenging but enjoyable test for a wide range of players.
Alongside the new holes, additional practice facilities are now available. These build on what was already on site and give players more opportunity to warm up, work on their game, or simply spend more time enjoying the facilities.
Together, the playing and practice areas now offer a more complete experience before and after a round.
Opening a full 18-hole course is an important milestone, but it is not the end of the journey.
Continued investment in course maintenance and upkeep will help keep playing conditions consistent and enjoyable throughout the year.
Plans are also in place for a new clubhouse, which will further improve the experience for everyone who visits Allerton Manor and support the next phase of development.
With the full 18-hole course now open, there has never been a better time to become a member at Allerton Manor.
Membership applications are open for the 2026 season, giving players the opportunity to enjoy the completed layout and be part of an exciting period for the club.
The course is open, and we look forward to welcoming members, visitors, and new faces to enjoy everything Allerton Manor has to offer. If you would like to find out more about the course, memberships, or upcoming developments, the team will be happy to help.
