The Old Stables Restaurant

Taking its name from the former stable block upon which it is built, The Old Stables restaurant at Allerton Manor Golf Club is well-established as a local, family-friendly eatery for residents and visitors of South Liverpool. With ample free parking and a range of menus featuring classic British dishes, made using locally sourced ingredients, it’s the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion, or simply grab a bite to eat. 

From a full English breakfast, traditional afternoon tea or a Sunday roast, there is something for everyone at The Old Stables. Dine inside our cosy restaurant with friends and family or choose a table outside on our covered tables, complete with heaters.

Here at The Old Stables, we pride ourselves on the quality of our food. With brand-new menus drawn up by our resident chef for every meal of the day, we have a whole new slate of mouth-watering dishes for you to enjoy. Take a look at our online menus and whet your appetite for the real thing. We have separate breakfast, lunch and dinner menus served Monday to Saturday, with a Sunday lunch menu offered every Sunday.

Whether you’re visiting us for a celebratory afternoon tea with friends, or bringing the whole family to enjoy a delicious Sunday lunch, you always get a fantastic food, plus incredible service from our friendly waiting staff.

Booking a Table

To avoid disappointment,  we always recommend reserving a table when eating at The Old Stables. 

If the form doesn’t display the time or area you’re hoping for, that means we are fully-booked for that particular time or section.  
For standard bookings the booking widget will ask you for your credit or debit card details. This is a precautionary measure against no-shows and late cancellations (within 48 hours of your booked table). If you do not arrive for your booking or cancel without giving sufficient notice, your card will automatically be charged a no-show fee of £5.00 per person.
For Afternoon Tea and other special event bookings, you will be required to pay a deposit. Please note Afternoon Tea is pre-order only with 24 hours notice required.

Group Restaurant Bookings

We offer group restaurant bookings for up to 20 guests, perfect for those events worth celebrating with your closest family and friends, but you don’t quite need a private function space. We can host special birthday’s, baby showers and Christenings in our spacious restaurant, we would require you to pre-order your food choices in advance and pay a small deposit per person.
