Location

When it comes to the location of your wedding venue, you need to consider two things: what does it look like, and how easy is it to get to? Picking the most breathtaking building in the country doesn’t help if it’s next to impossible for your guests to find the place. Conversely, a convenient location shouldn’t mean you have to skimp on style. At Allerton Manor, you get the best of both worlds—a beautiful, Grade II Listed Building that is easily accessible from the A562.

Support

Some venues provide you with a place to hold your wedding breakfast and reception and not much else. While you might be able to get such a location at a cheaper price, it leaves you with a lot more work to do getting it ready for your big day. When you book your wedding with Allerton Manor, you get our whole team on your side, led by one of our experienced wedding planners. They can assist you with everything from menu choices and decoration to timing and entertainment, making sure everything goes the way you want it.

Food and drink

You want your wedding guests to be well-fed and suitably refreshed throughout the day because nothing will put a damper on their memory of your wedding quite as quickly as an empty stomach. Does your venue offer the sort of food you want for your big day? Can they accommodate special dietary needs? Do they serve food for the evening reception as well as the wedding breakfast? At Allerton Manor, the answer to all three questions is yes—and so much more. Your wedding planner will help you choose from our various menu options, ensuring you have a food and drink selection that meets all your requirements.

Capacity

This is a big consideration—you need to know that the venue you want can hold the number of people you plan to invite. The typical British wedding includes between 70 and 140 guests over the daytime and evening receptions, which puts us in the perfect category for most couples. Our Hay Loft function suite hosts 80 people for a sit-down wedding breakfast and up to 120 for a more casual evening do.

Photo opportunities

Capturing your wedding on film is a big deal, and it’s important to have an attractive backdrop for your first photos as a newlywed couple. With Allerton Manor Golf Club, you couldn’t ask for more pleasing surroundings. We were looking for an intimate space, that was rustic and special, as soon as we seen it, we knew we wanted to get married there. We booked the ‘winter wedding’ package, and it included everything we could have wanted – the quality of the food and wine were unmatched! The team in the Hayloft were amazing! Demi helped us along the way with suppliers and we had John looking after us on the day, and he was literally brilliant, so so friendly and approachable – he organised everyone and made sure everything we had planned happened.   • The Hay Loft was one of the first venues we visited and we both instantly fell in love with the rustic, intimate setting for our autumn wedding (October 2024). Demi was great and helped us so much from start to finish, John who coordinated and ran the day was brilliant, he put us both at ease right from the beginning and was so kind and helpful throughout the day, lots of our guests commented on how great he was. The venue is just perfect inside and out and our photographs are beautiful. We opted for the twilight option which included a hog roast buffet, the food was delicious and we’ve had so many compliments on it. The bar staff were all so friendly and attentive as well. I would highly recommend this venue for an intimate wedding. Perfect size, hosts and staff!

Demi was always available to answer any questions and made everything so easy for us to plan.   • The Hayloft at Allerton Manor was the most perfect setting for our wedding. From the moment we booked the staff were attentive, regular check-in’s to make sure we were ok. The internal decor with twinkly lights /fireplace is so romantic. The day itself went without a hitch this is down to the host and all the staff they couldn’t do anymore for you and are so friendly. We viewed a number of other venues after this but they all did not compare to what we had already seen. When booking the venue, Demi couldn't have done enough for us and we can't fault her in the build up to the big day. On the day, the staff again followed suit and couldn't have done enough for us. Demi and John brought everything to life and made sure everything went as smoothly as possible. A special shout out to the bar and kitchen staff too, all our guests can't speak highly enough of all the help and quality that come from the bar and kitchen.
